Apple’s new 9.7-inch iPad Pro is the ultimate PC replacement?
Last night during Apple’s event, Phil Schiller, Senior Vice President of World at the technology giant announced that the 9.7-inch is the “ultimate PC replacement“. Well, to that I’d say, “Rubbish!” Citing the “600 million” PC users still stuck on five year old PCs, Schiller said, “That’s really sad.”
I’ve got a five year old PC and it’s running perfectly fine! So, thank you very much. 2011 was the year Intel launched its stellar Sandy Bridge platform and it wouldn’t be much of a stretch to say that there’s been nothing like it since. There’s no way I’d exchange my Intel i5 for an iPad.
But what’s up with Apple? Why the sudden push towards a Pro platform and this talk of the iPad, of all things, as a PC replacement?

Xiaomi has launched two new Mi Tv models in its home market China called the Mi TV 3S. The Mi TV 3S will be available in two variants, the first one is a 65-inch curved 4K model and another smaller 43-inch flat screen Full HD model. The Mi TV 3S Curve is priced at CNY 8,999 (approximately Rs 82,000), while the 43-inch FHD variant costs an affordable CNY 1,799 (approximately Rs 18,500).
Recently, Xiaomi had launched a 70-inch version of the Xiaomi Mi TV 3 with a 4K display that went on sale in its home market it China. The TV was surprisingly announced at a recent Mi Pop Festival and is priced 9999 Yuan (approximately Rs 101,900). The TV was and still is the biggest TV offering from the Chinese company and features a high color gamut, MEMC motion compensation with a 120Hz refresh rate.
